A is for Allah

Montessori inspired (for ages 3-5)

Exercise: Placing pompoms on circles in the letter A.

Materials:

· Printed uppercase A, filled with circles and mounted on a board/tray.

· Pompoms.

· Plastic or metal forceps.

Demonstration:

1. Place the A sheet on the table or rug.

2. Discuss that A is the first letter of the alphabets and the name of Allah also begins with the same (A is for Allah)

3. With the plastic forceps pick up 1 pompom and place it on one of the circle in A.

4. Ask the child to do the same with the rest of the circles.

· Fine motor skills.

· Hand and eye coordination.

Control of error:

Pompom should be placed within the outline of circle.
