Montessori inspired (ages 3-5)

Lesson : Unity of Allah; Allah is one

Exercise: Matching the alphabets.

Objective:

· Understanding that Allah is one.

· Remembering Allah.

Materials:

· Metallic cookie sheet with the template, ALLAH IS ONE on it.

· Magnetic alphabets.

Procedure:

Demonstrate the following steps to the students:

· Place the cookie sheet and spread out the alphabets on the table.

· Place one alphabet at a time on the template, calling out each alphabet. Like A..L..L..A..H

· Complete the whole sentence and then read out loud, Allah is one.

· Repeat the sentence with emphasis on ‘one’, while raising your index finger.

· Invite the student to repeat the procedure

Skills Developed:

· Hands and eye co-ordination.

· Fine motor skills

· Sensory (touching and feeling the alphabets)

· Learning number 1 and alphabets. Spelling ALLAH.
